Guitar

In our guitar lessons, students can learn chords, notes, scales, arpeggios, modes and improvisation. All levels, all styles of music and all ages! Not only do we use songs that the students enjoy to teach the guitar, we use those songs to teach harmony, theory and proper guitar technique. Encore is dedicated when it comes to taking students to another level musically.

Hendrix, John Mayer, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold and Jason Mraz are just some of our student favorites when it comes to learning to play like their favorite artists. We’re most proud of our variety of musical styles and levels! Some of our own students are even making a name for themselves locally with their own bands!

Voice

At Encore, we believe that a person’s voice is their instrument. It needs to be trained, and there needs to be countless hours of practice to see improvement. Technique and musical creativity go hand in hand when it comes to having great vocals. We stress proper breathing, phrasing, dynamics, range and explore all different styles of music when it comes to our vocal program.

We have vocal students ranging from ages 5 to 55+. When sitting in our lounge, you may even hear at times a student in one room singing Sinatra and another student across the way singing Miley Cyrus. Whatever style of music it is and at any level of experience, our teachers know how to guide our vocal students in the right direction.

Studio Singing Level I

Encore’s Studio Singing Program is a unique opportunity for vocal students to gain real practical experience in a professional recording studio. Students will work with one of our experienced vocal instructors throughout the month on song choice, technique and studio etiquette. At the end of the month, students will step into the studio and record the song that they’ve been preparing. A piano or guitar accompaniment is included and a full band is optional. Students will be able to take home a cd of their song, that same day. In less than a year, students can have enough recorded material for their own full length album!

Studio Singing Level II

Take it a step further and record with a full band! We can provide a professional drummer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist/pianist and percussionist to record with you, in the studio. You will work with one of our qualified vocal instructors throughout the month and meet the band in the studio. You can also bring in your own band to record with. There will be a short rehearsal before the session and before you know it, the tape is rolling!

Piano/Keys

Our lessons in the piano are contemporary as well as traditional. We have teachers that specialize in pop, jazz, contemporary and classical, and are dedicated to teaching the foundations of any style. Our age range of piano students is probably the widest. That’s why we provide teachers that are experienced in teaching our young ones. Our youngest piano students start at the age of 4 with basic note reading and rhythms, fun musical activities and games. We even encourage our parents to sit in occasionally during the lessons.
